Your responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of deli items, such as sandwiches, salads, and soups
- Assist with food preparation, such as baking
- Ensure food is prepared and presented in accordance with company standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including equipment and utensils
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Assist customers with their orders and provide excellent customer service
- Upsell additional deli items or promotions to customers
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
What we're looking for:
- A friendly and positive attitude
- Flexibility with shifts and weekend availability
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or deli environment is preferred
- Ability to upsell products and provide recommendations to customers
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation is a plus
